ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT AND COVID-19 RELEASE & HOLD-HARMLESS AGREEMENT

In consideration of the acceptance of my registration and the benefits of my participation in VDUBS ON AUTO ALLEY and/or THE OLD VOLKS SHOW sponsored by the VW CLUB OF OKLAHOMA, I hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the VW CLUB OF OKLAHOMA and its affiliates, divisions, assigns, successors in interest, agents, servants, employees, volunteers, officers, trustees and directors, past and present, and each of them (collectively the “Released Parties”), from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever, including attorney’s fees, arising out of or in any manner related to my participation in VDUBS ON AUTO ALLEY and/or THE OLD VOLKS SHOW, including any loss, damage, injury or death that may be sustained by me or my personal property, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise. I understand that participation is completely my choice, and I choose to participate for my own personal benefit. I am fully aware of the risks involved with participation, and I expressly, voluntarily and willingly ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL RISKS AND DANGERS associated with such participation, including, but not limited to risk of bodily injury (including permanent disability or death), illness or property damage arising out of my participation, howsoever caused, and I accept personal responsibility for the damages arising from any such injury, illness or property damage and hold the Released parties harmless there from. I expressly waive any defense to enforcement of this agreement arising from any claim of lack of consideration and understand that this agreement constitutes a legal, valid and binding waiver of my rights and shall be enforceable against me, my spouse, family, heirs, assigns, personal representatives and estate for all purposes. I understand that my automobile(s) and I may be photographed or filmed during the event and agree to allow the VW Club of OKLAHOMA and/or The Old Volks Show to use any photograph, video image or film likeness of me or my automobile(s)/motorcycle(s) for any legitimate purpose, including without limitation publication and program inclusion now and in the future, without financial compensation to me. I have carefully read this agreement, and my digital signature agreement acknowledges that I fully understand its content and meaning. I understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing this Agreement, and I sign it freely and voluntarily without any inducement. If I am signing this Agreement on behalf of a minor, I certify that all representations are true and that I have full authority to bind the minor and myself to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. My information provided will not be sold to any other entity but will be entered in CAR SHOW PRO software for judging purposes.

Further,
The current world-wide Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) pandemic and government mandated “shelter in place” orders in many communities underscore the risks associated for individuals attending events with people from outside their household.
The undersigned understands that exposure to disease-causing organisms and objects, such as COVID-19, and personal contact with others, including but not limited to volunteers, car show staff members, car show judges, vendors, food truck vendors, car show spectators, car show entrants and others associated with the VDubs on Auto Alley or The Old Volks Show, involves a certain degree of risk that could result in illness, permanent disability or death. The undersigned also acknowledges that it is impossible to screen and/or monitor all such individuals.

After fully and carefully considering all the potential risks involved, I hereby assume the same and agree to release and hold-harmless the released parties and their employees, officers, agents, volunteers, sponsors, contractors and vendors from and against, all claims and liability resulting from exposure to disease-causing organisms and objects, such as COVID-19, associated with me either attending and/or participating in VDubs on Auto Alley or The Old Volks Show sponsored by The VW Club of Oklahoma.

I have carefully read this agreement, and my physical and/or digital signature or attendance of this event serves as my acceptance of this agreement and to this acknowledges that I fully understand its content and meaning.
I understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing this Agreement, and I sign and/or agree to it freely and voluntarily without any inducement. If I am signing this Agreement on behalf of a minor, I certify that all representations are true and that I have full authority to bind the minor and myself to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

NOT responsible for what you bring in your coolers, please be mindful of your surroundings. You are responsible for you!

VW CLUB OF OKLAHOMA CAR SHOW RULES, REGULATIONS, &

ETIQUETTE FOR PARTICIPANTS, REGISTRANTS & GENERAL PUBLIC

 

*ADULTS AND CHILDREN SHALL NOT TOUCH, CLIMB ON OR ENTER

SHOW CARS WITHOUT EXPLICIT PERMISSION OF THE OWNER*

 

RESPECT THE EVENT, THE GROUNDS, PROPS, DISPLAYS AND THE SHOW CARS:

                  

*No loud music  

*No speeding into, within, or outside of event entries or exits

*No tire squealing, burn outs, revving or muffler rapping your exhaust system

*Any display with objectionable music, videos, art, or other media is not permitted and will be

   removed from the show. The promoter reserves the right to determine what is considered

   objectionable. The promoter reserves the right to remove “promotional” items

*Keep food and drinks away from vehicles

*All children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult with supervision at all times

*Be considerate and pick up after yourself, do not discard your trash on the ground

                                                                                                                           

REGISTRATION/ENTRY: Cars not registered by 11:00a.m. and at the event will not be judged.

 

Registration personnel will assign you a number and vehicles will only be judged with the registration form properly filled out and displayed on or inside the windshield of the car, and visible to judges.

                  

By registering for the event, said participants agree to adhere to the above car show rules and regulations. No refunds under any circumstances.

                           

We reserve the right to refuse admission of any vehicle and/or driver.

 

JUDGING: Judging of the vehicles will start according to the event schedule.

WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT FOR AWARDS

 

VW Club of Oklahoma reserves the right to alter or modify the event and will have the final say in any conflict that may occur. 

 

Windows should be down and hood/trunk open to receive points for interior, engine compartment, and trunk categories. Judges WILL NOT  judge what they cannot see adequately.

 

Score sheets will not be given out or shown after the show.  JUDGING STAFF DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

 

DISQUALIFICATION/REMOVAL: Any person or group who fail to follow these rules and regulations or any verbal instructions from the Event Staff or law enforcement is subject to disqualification and removal from the event. This also includes unsportsmanlike conduct.

 

END OF SHOW: Your vehicle and displays shall stay intact until the conclusion of the car show. If you have an emergency and have to leave during the show, please inform an Event Staff member and you and your vehicle will be escorted through the crowd for a safe exit. This safety rule will be enforced to protect the audience and children.  Again, police and dispose of all trash of your area in appropriate area trash receptacles before you leave.

 

VW CLUB OF OKLAHOMA, THE SHOW, ALL STAFF, SHOW JUDGES, SHOW PERSONNEL, PROMOTOR and/or SPONSORS SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY THEFT, ANY DAMAGE TO VEHICLES, DAMAGED OR LOST PROPERTY OR PERSONAL HARM. EVERY CAR SHOW ENTRANT AND VENDOR AGREES TO THE VW CLUB OF OKLAHOMA HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT AS PUBLISHED ON THE CLUB WEBSITE AT VWCLUBOFOKLAHOMA.ORG

PLEASE OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING FROM THOSE OUTSIDE OF YOUR OWN HOUSEHOLD.
